posting ideas

I alway find that my best blogging topics come right before I'm going to go to sleep. As I lay in bed my brain gets going and i starting writing whole blog topics in my head and then by morning they are gone. Doesn't make for a very interesting blog though that way :( I really need a paper and pen right beside by bed so i can just jot down the idea...might help me sleep faster too if I do that :)

Growing up!!

So much has happened in such little time.

Sophia is now 5! I can't believe it! We had a birthday party for her and invited some of her friends. Only 2 could make it but that was ok and it was all nice and relaxed. The kids played while the adults chatted :)

Seth now has glasses and has been wearing them all day for the past couple days except for lil breaks here and there. He's also doing much better about being dry in his pants and finally is wearing underwear! YAY! We found some that were just like daddie's and he does awesome in them! Next month he'll be turning 3! OI!

Evan is now Walking! Yes walking at 13 months old! He's so cute as he toddles about learning and getting better everyday and going further each day too! He's starting to play more with the other kids too which is cute...or should I say he attacks them! lol!

More Creativity with a touch of Cleanliness

I've slowed down on making things but haven't stopped which is nice. I've since my last entry made another dolly blanket for my daughter but bigger of course since she wanted it big enough to cover her barbies...Though I have since been informed that it isn't big enough either...*sigh* just can't keep her happy lol! I've also finally started the baby quilt that bought to make for my youngest. It's all put together, I just have to do the quilting(?) part of it. It's very cute and has clothes on a clothesline and puppy dogs, ducks and bugs. I'll have to take a picture of it and post when I am done.

Otherwise I've been working on cleaning and decluttering and also keeping my kitchen fairly cleaner than usual the past couple days. I have to say that it's been working and I've had a cleaner kitchen and it feels great! I just need to keep it up and not get lazy. It's actually easier to keep it up than I thought and I just need to remember that on the days I just don't want to clean. It's deffinitely easier to put 2 or 3 dishes in the dishwasher rather than 15 or more because they've built up, and so on and so on. I have to admit I am a clutter bug. It's not that I don't like things all neat and tidy, but I get lazy and don't want to do it and piles of stuff build up. I don't really have people over a whole lot because of this and if i do, i normally clean the whole day before. We'll see how long this lasts though...I think last time i made it about 3 weeks. Here's hoping it sticks!!

Btw My oldest baby is 5 today! I can't believe it!

Crafty/Artsy/Creative feeling

I've been feeling extra creative lately and have taken a renewed interest in old hobbys and new. I love being creative and doing interesting things but I mostly don't have time. I once upon a time used to know how to crochet many years ago but forgot how until recently i bought a kids book that gave me pictures and basics to reteach myself how. So I made a blanket for my daughters lil dollys' tonight. It took me about an hour to do the whole thing from start to end and was prob only about 4inches square, but it was a nice starting piece to remember with. I'm sure it will be a pleasent surprise for my daughter in the morning as well.

I've been doing other creative things too besides that. I've taken to trying to complete the plastic canvas barbie furniture that i started way back when for my daughter, and when i'm not doing that i'm making siggies for others on the computer. Something is very satisfying about making things and I certainly do miss it. I remember the zone that I used to get when I used to draw/paint and I miss that too. I can't wait till I have more time to take those back up. For now I'll stick to thinks that are a bit easier to put down and stop for a couple hours if need be. Young ones do take up lots of time after all.

Photoshoot!

After a sleepy morning I managed to finally get my butt up and out the door so I could do a photoshoot. My first that hasn't starred my own kids actually. A wonderful friend of mine had a baby and allowed me to experiment by taking some family photos of them and some photos of the baby too :) He's so cute but sure wasn't happy with me. I got a couple good ones and once done editing managed to make some of the others better. Man I love editing! Hopefully I'll be able to grow as a photographer and won't need to do as much editing later on. Here are a couple samples of the pics I took today:

Hubby Likes!

Good news! Hubby likes the furniture! Which is great! I'm starting to think i can redo the whole living room for about $2000 which i think is pretty good. That includes new hardwood, an area rug, the furniture. Everything else I already have which makes things easier too! Now I just need to find me some time to be able to head up to direct buy to order it all up.

Tomorrow I'm going up to see a friend and her new baby finally. I'm very excited. She's blessed me with the ok to experiment my photography skills on her and her family! I sure hope things go the way I want them to! Hopefully tomorrow night I'll be sharing some excellent shots!

Start of a new blog!

I'm starting a new blog! One just for me and my thoughts, opinions and ideas and whatever creative outlet that I feel like sharing with everyone!

My thoughts are centering around new furniture lately. How we need some and yet continuously ignore this fact. Upstairs is full of toys, downstairs is full of toys and i just want a grown up area to relax in. I've decided to redo the living room. That is my goal to have completed by the end of the summer. New hardwood floor and new furniture. Almost everything is already painted and i've got things to decorate with now I just need to put it all together.

I've even found a couch set that I've fallen in love with, nice neutral, just needs accent pillows. I'm thinking maybe a baby blue, but we'll see. What do you think? I will not do red like in the picture, I'm very over red!
