Yes, it's true. Could you tell? I think my last blog is from 2010. That's only 3 years ago-ish. I've been totally crafting it up lately so thought that at least the blogs name still applies to all that I do. I've been mainly making quilts lately and love it! It's a nice change from sewing dresses for my daughter. Here's a cruddy phone picture of my first quilt ever:
My daughter is standing in front of it but it's for my first son. Since this one I've made two more quilts. My latest just needs to go in for quilting and I'm super excited about it! I really need to get some better pictures of them however. My next project is a shirt for my girl!

Purple Blankets
I'm on the search for a purple throw blanket. I've had inspiration and I have a photo shoot next weekend and I need the blanket to complete my idea. The one I use normally is blue. Blue is great, and awesome for boys, but I finally get to shoot a lil baby girl! I'm so excited! It's been a streak for boys for when I take portraits so I haven't even had to think about getting something for a girl. I'll have to take a look the next time I'm in town. Ideally it will be a deep plum, but I dont think I can be overly pick atm. A nice cream blanket will work as well! At least it will be neutral ;)
Update: Ok I found a perfect on on Etsy however since the maker is from the US there is no way it will get here on time :( boo!

To many projects, which to do?
I find myself lately wanting to start a whole bunch of projects but I don't seem to be keeping up my mojo to finish them. I've been thinking for months now of painting my cupboards, they are driving me nuts and I really don't like them. However, I've managed to give one side of the top cupboards a coat of primer and one coat of paint....that is it. So here I am posting all about in hopes to keep myself going. There are other things I really want to get going on but know I should finish this one first. Mainly I've been feeling like sewing, but I haven't given in since I know i need to get going on the cupboards. Comon Mojo please reapear! I dare ya!

Monthly Blogger That's me!
Guess if I just do this monthly I'm doing good now :) We just got back from vacation that we spent out in BC. It was great! We did some visiting with my hubby's dad and did some camping. Though I have to admit while spending some time with my father in law was great, I really really enjoyed sharing the experience of camping with my kids. This is the first time that we've ever taken them. We went and bought a camper and all that jazz and I look forward to repeating our camping year after year. Next year the plan is to go for a week with some friends, back to BC of course! I miss the mountains and was very very sad to leave them. They are just to beautiful and the fresh air is devine!
This is a couple pictures from our trip to Fort Steele. Camping pictures to follow in a future post :)

Lost my groove
Well I was doing good and then seemed to have lost my groove for blogging. I go in spurts I suppose, but then i guess some once in a while is better than nothing at all.
It's summertime here and boy you wouldn't know it much by the weather we've been having. Lots of rain means lots of days inside for us which is driving us all batty. I don't mind so much since i'm an indoor kinda gal, but the kids are deffinately fighting more than usual. I do let them go outside when it's cloudy and rainy but most times they are back inside after ten minutes. These are the days when I wish we still lived in the city and had access to more things to do. Hopefully August has more sun in store for us than what we've gotten so far. Especially since we are planning a vacation for the middle of it.
I will leave off with a couple pics of the kids:

The Month of May
This month has gone fast. Lots has gone on this month and I'm hoping that June proves to be a bit of a slower month. This month has brought the wrap up of Sophia's playschool, birthday parties, trips to the city, new shingles on our house and garage and it all seems to have passed in a whirlwind. Any-o a small part of our month in pics:
Rainy days
Picnic at the Park
A little photoshoot with Sophia

Should be in bed.
It's late and I should be in bed, but nah I decided I must blog instead. Putting it off I guess, which is silly of me since Someone is coming by at 10am and it's already almost 1am. What can I say I'm a night owl!
So the other week or so I decided I needed a new lens for my camera. I have a Canon Rebel xti with the kit lens and it's just not cutting it, especially for inside. It does pretty good outside however and will made do for now for that. I did what seemed like endless research over probably close to a week before I finally settled on Canon's EF 50mm f1.4 USM lens. The price was right and was reviewed as the photographers must have by a many people (well the 50mm size, not just this lens in specifics). So I ordered away and after it arrived I had to try on right away, and can I say ...oh...my...gosh!! I'm in LOVE! This is a wicked wicked wicked lens! It does exactly what I want it to and the pictures are sooo clear! My dream of becoming a pro photographer seems just that much closer to becoming real!
A few pictures of course:
Playing with the depth of field
My boy monkeying around
Evan's slipper obssession
Sophia being my lil model
My coloring girl
Don't you just love how it seems to just freeze moments in time? I love it! I deffinately find myself taking even more pictures which is great, and it gives me plenty of chances to practice practice practice! and who better to practice on my own kids!!
And finally to share some favorite moments with my kids today include the kids playing on the deck today and in the sandbox. Sophia's creativity and imagination, I think she was a horse, faerie, unicorn and many other things today. Seth took a nap today in the car on the way home so was up later than the others, and while he was up he was just facinated watching his daddy play his war game on the computer. Evans cutest moment had to be when he was playing fetch with his his sucky! He gets so excited and is soo cute!
I love my kids!
