Lost my groove

Well I was doing good and then seemed to have lost my groove for blogging. I go in spurts I suppose, but then i guess some once in a while is better than nothing at all.

It's summertime here and boy you wouldn't know it much by the weather we've been having. Lots of rain means lots of days inside for us which is driving us all batty. I don't mind so much since i'm an indoor kinda gal, but the kids are deffinately fighting more than usual. I do let them go outside when it's cloudy and rainy but most times they are back inside after ten minutes. These are the days when I wish we still lived in the city and had access to more things to do. Hopefully August has more sun in store for us than what we've gotten so far. Especially since we are planning a vacation for the middle of it.

I will leave off with a couple pics of the kids:

The Month of May

This month has gone fast. Lots has gone on this month and I'm hoping that June proves to be a bit of a slower month. This month has brought the wrap up of Sophia's playschool, birthday parties, trips to the city, new shingles on our house and garage and it all seems to have passed in a whirlwind. Any-o a small part of our month in pics:

Should be in bed.

It's late and I should be in bed, but nah I decided I must blog instead. Putting it off I guess, which is silly of me since Someone is coming by at 10am and it's already almost 1am. What can I say I'm a night owl!

So the other week or so I decided I needed a new lens for my camera. I have a Canon Rebel xti with the kit lens and it's just not cutting it, especially for inside. It does pretty good outside however and will made do for now for that. I did what seemed like endless research over probably close to a week before I finally settled on Canon's EF 50mm f1.4 USM lens. The price was right and was reviewed as the photographers must have by a many people (well the 50mm size, not just this lens in specifics). So I ordered away and after it arrived I had to try on right away, and can I say ...oh...my...gosh!! I'm in LOVE! This is a wicked wicked wicked lens! It does exactly what I want it to and the pictures are sooo clear! My dream of becoming a pro photographer seems just that much closer to becoming real!

A few pictures of course:

Sophia being my lil model

My coloring girl

Don't you just love how it seems to just freeze moments in time? I love it! I deffinately find myself taking even more pictures which is great, and it gives me plenty of chances to practice practice practice! and who better to practice on my own kids!!

And finally to share some favorite moments with my kids today include the kids playing on the deck today and in the sandbox. Sophia's creativity and imagination, I think she was a horse, faerie, unicorn and many other things today. Seth took a nap today in the car on the way home so was up later than the others, and while he was up he was just facinated watching his daddy play his war game on the computer. Evans cutest moment had to be when he was playing fetch with his his sucky! He gets so excited and is soo cute!

I love my kids!

My see don't work

Literally, my see on my keyboard is kaput. It will randomly work when it wants to but for now till i figure out how to get the keyboard that my brother in law gave me (i know I know it's not hard, I'm just being lazy) I've been either using k or s instead or cutting and pasting it when necessary. Thankfully blogger has spellcheck so I can use that for on here ;)

OK Evan is getting in trouble, and he's just to dang cute. He just smiles at me and I have to try soooo hard no to smile back.

So sad, my puppy is now in dog heaven

My parents had to put down their (mine too) puppy today. Zorro was about 13 years I think. He wasn't doing so hot and it was the best decision for him, but I still miss him. He was a good dog, eager, happy to see you and super duper friendly. I remember going out to get him with mom thinking that we wouldn't come home with a dog since we'd already been to see many and hadn't come home with one, and there we went and fell in love with him. He was so cute and little. Fast forward to a couple days ago and the poor guy wasn't eating or drinking right and had advanced kidney disease :( It's so sad. I loved that dog a whole lot. When I moved out I wanted to take him with me but knew that I couldn't do that to mom and dad. He was a great dog and will be missed by many

I Love you Zo, and I hope you're happy where are now and no longer suffering! Say Hi to Kit for me!

A slow day

Today is making up for yesterday. The only thing calling me today is backed up Laundry, and possibly making some meals for the kids ;)  I'm sitting here in comfy pants and enjoying my day of sitting!!

I did start the Sims 3 Challenge last night... I feel a bit dorky though writing it out so we'll see if I continue that part, though I will still do the challenge just maybe without the blog?? lol! Though if you want to check out my geekiness it can be found here.

Sims 3

I'm a geek. I know it. and I'm debating on doing the Sims 3 Legacy challenge that has been posted. If I do I'll create a separate blog to document it there (part of the challenge I believe is to document it). There's lots of rules and it's supposed to go on for 10 generations. I'm currently playing my 5th generation on my current saved game, but I've used cheats and such so it won't be allowed to count, plus I haven't documented it at all. If you're into Sims 3 you can find the challenge here.

On to matters of today. We have been BUSY! I have barely had a chance to sit down today since about noon. Made lunch for the kids, took Sophia to playschool, went and got catfood from the vet and 20min drive one way, came back and tried to get Evan to nap for a little bit before we had to go pick Sophia up, but he decided to poop instead, picked Sophia up, went and got milk, and decided to go visit their Daddy at work since he was working nearby for once and only up the road. The kids loved it! Seth the most though, Sophia thought it was loud and only wanted to stay in the doghouse with me and Evan. So afterwards I put them in the car and snapped a couple pics. It was pretty neat getting to see what my hubby does a little closer. Believe it or not for  the past 7 years that hubby has been at this work I've only visited him maybe 2 times?? I think this was my 3rd time visiting.
